
Audition will consist of 2 parts:

Singing/Acting (alone with casting team)

Jazz dancing​ (group setting)​
*Note that those auditioning for Dorothy or Tin Man may be asked to participate in a Tap Audition

What you need to bring to the Audition:

Jazz Shoes (if owned)

Tap Shoes (if auditioning for Dorothy or Tin Man)

Printed sheet music for your song of choice (we will have extras if needed)
-
Water
-
Pencil
-
Healthy Snacks
-
Wear clothes that you can move and dance in

To be the most prepared for the audition, please look at the music provided. There will be a brief time to sing through the music with the Music Director at auditions, however taking the time prior to prepare the music will be beneficial.

There are two audition songs split up by voice type. Practice the song that best aligns to your voice. Please note which song we ask younger students to sing.

*Please note that although you may be preparing a particular song for your audition, you may be asked to perform another song at the audition.*

Callbacks are available upon request of the casting team. We will reach out via email on the night of Feb 14th if a callback is required. We will post callback materials soon for those who wish to prepare in advance.

Please use this song for any high/female voices as well as younger students, both male and female. This song is encouraged for those auditioning for Dorothy or Glinda.
If I Only Had A Brain
Please use this song for any male/low voices or comedic roles. This song is encouraged for those auditioning for character roles such as Wicked Witch, Scarecrow, Lion, Tin Man, and The Wizard.
